Today, Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe was named a living saint, according to the media in Britain.
Mr Mugabe, a lifelong communist revolutionary, organised armed attacks on white farmers, and bombed shops and government buildings for years, killing many innocent people, and killing many soldiers and policemen, the very people who had brought law and order and prosperity to his country. But despite the endless killings, and the turning of a once rich and peaceful country into a lawless nightmare of robberies and massacres, Mr Mugabe is now being paraded around the world as a saint.
Some were wondering what Mr Mugabe had actually achieved, and why the media keep portraying this killer as some sort of wonderful person, rather than a violent criminal, whose followers killed many innocents to make its corrupt leaders powerful. But then the latest news came in - the news story was actually about Nelson Mandela.
The Free Robert Mugabe concert will be held soon in London, Mr Mandela will be sentenced for murder tomorrow. Cup of double standard tea, anyone?
