Clarence Mitchell speaks up for the McCanns

Modern day saints Gerry and Kate McCann are said to be furious that their daughter Madeleine asked her mother why she didn't come to her when she was crying the night before her disappearance.

The McCanns, who are pure, devout Christians, were dining at the Tapas bar, while Maddie and their other children were alone in the villa. Their spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, who is up for nomination as one of the most annoying people in the country, says the God-fearing couple are angry that Maddie is trying to wage a smear campaign against their good reputation.

Mr Mitchell said "Kate and Gerry are disgusted at this attempt by Maddie to harm their public image as good, clean, wholesome, middle class, Christian parents."

The heroic couple dined every night at the Tapas bar with the now legendary Tapas 7, while their children stayed alone in the villa. Gerry and Kate are now said to be considering legal action against Maddie.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
