Fake researchers have mounted a coordinated attack on some of the top offices in London's financial district. At least six office workers have fallen foul of the scam and police suspect many more are simply too embarrassed to come forward.
A recent victim who didn't want to be named, but is in fact Miss Barbara Baron, 27, a PA for top law firm Benson and Hedgerow said; "A person wearing a white coat and carrying a clipboard came into the office and asked to see my bottom. He claimed to be a researcher.
"Please don't be taken in, Don't show him, there's no research-he just wanted to see my bottom. I feel so cheap now. Don't repeat my mistake…"
Police have asked all office workers to be vigilant and ask for identification before showing anyone their bottoms.
The fake researcher is described as male, professorly, wearing a white coat and carrying a clipboard.
