Camden Lock - (Arson Mess): London Mayor Ken Livingstone is being petitioned for a £££ handout by some 100 crack den owners who lost their homes and livelihoods during the weekend's blaze at Camden Lock.
The canal-side site went up like a bomb on Saturday night and destroyed the celeb pub/hangout the Whorely Arms, where Amy Winehouse's husband first threatened GBH on a non-co-operatve barman in a coke dealing dispute last July.
According to eyewitness reports a dodgy crack pipe may have started the weekend's blaze which has caused an estimated £250 million of damage.
Also destroyed in the fire were the Camden Ganja Accessories Emporium, the local branch of the MadonnaKebab Cafe chain, twenty brothels, the Transylvania Goth Clothing Gallery, three dozen crystal/tarot/incense/Nordic rune-peddling shacks, an Abu Hamza militant Jihadi recruitment orifice, a four bedroom hostel hiding up to five hundred illegal immigrants and the Camden Lesbian Collective's healing massage parlor.
Claimants are expected to get an immediate ten grand each from Livingstone's hardship fund, fast-tracking to NHS trauma counselling and an all-expenses paid six week family holiday to the Carribean or other exotic destination of choice.
