A frightful feud has arisen between Noel Edmonds (cuddly game show host) and Noel Fielding (effeminate yet oddly appealing comedian) about who has been the first person to make the name Noel cool.
Noel Edmonds claims supremacy on the grounds that he has the longest standing career and is several years older than Fielding, whereas Mighty Boosh star Fielding claims that Edmonds is "sh!te" and "naff" and that the name Noel was never cool until he made it a household name.
Edmonds has been seen sculking around in Harrogate trying to persuade passers by that he is the cool Noel.
However, public opinion seems decidedly opposed to the name Noel ever being cool, and so both Noel's may be disappointed in their hope of being crowned Britain's Coolest Noel.
