Maggot Pete's hallmark crime was to spread toxic waste into food.

The Mayor of UK's crime-ridden metropolis, Cosmic City, applauded the capture earlier today of Super Villain "Maggot Pete".

Maggot Pete, leader of the so-called "Larva Lads" gang, was wanted for adding toxic waste to food products. The 71-year old made a daring escape from Cosmic City Crown Court in 2003 using his Zimmer frame, leaving the judge, jury and barristers completely speechless. One of the police officers guarding him in the dock said:

"It was uncanny how fast he ambled on his frame. We sat down and had a smoke, hoping to catch up with him after 15 minutes, but when we got up and looked for him, someone was helping him into a bus and he disappeared. Thanks to his pensioner's bus pass, he got a free ride. He even mooned at us from the rear window of the Number 47, with the help of another passenger. That's the sort of cunning criminal mastermind he is."

However, Maggot Pete's days of freedom were numbered. Superhero Exterminator Man was soon on the case, assisted by Boy Blunder and after several brawls with the Larva Lads, splendidly choreographed to 1960s music and with large bubbles featuring the words "SPLAT" and "THWUNK", he was able to obtain the overseas address of his arch nemesis.

Exterminator Man and Boy Blunder then flew (economy class) to Spain, where they confronted Pete and more Larva Lads at Maggot Mansion and after more SPLATs and THWUNKs, managed to apprehend the dastardly villain.

The Superhero said afterwards, "Maggot Pete is now safely locked up in Cosmic City's penitentiary with other cockroaches and vermin. I only hope we don't get Judge Giles Elpinko, who has a reputation for treating villains softly."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
