In Leeds, the angry spirits of two socks were finally put to rest following the Exorcism of a Washing Machine.

Father Finnegan, who performed the exorcism, said: "These two spirits were the souls of two fluorescent socks, you know, the type that were popular in the Eighties. One was Orange, the other was Green. The Green one was harmless, and was soon on her way to freedom, but the Orange one was a vicious little sod. He was blaspheming and swearing, but being only small, they only had the quietest voices going, and posed no real threat"

This was not the first unusual exorcism for Father Finnegan who one time had to exorcise the spirits of two pennies found behind a sofa, and also the crumbs of an angry biscuit that was found in a carpet.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
