SO DELIGHTED was Queen Elizabeth with Helen Mirren's Oscar-winning portrayal of her in The Queen, it is believed the current monarch is about to send shockwaves through the House of Windsor by installing the much-loved star as second in line to the throne.
After Mirren's victory, Buckingham Palace aides were sent scurrying to discover if a loophole in the crowning procedure could be found.
If this were to be the case it is bad news for current incumbent, Prince Charles, who would miss out on the chance to become king.
The Palace refused to comment on the sensational news but an insider close to the Windsors said: "Her majesty would have to adopt Ms Mirren as her daughter and is seriously considering it.
"Apparently the news soon got through to Charles. Not surprising with those wingnuts. I hope it all goes to plan and anyway, it serves the philandering bugger right after all he did to Diana, the poor girl."
But Mirren's astonished reaction saw her revert to her Cockney roots rather than the plummy posh accent of her award-winning role as Queen Liz, with the star blurting: "Fucking hell!!! Sod off! Yer avin' me on ya silly bugger!"
