Oscar winner Dame Helen Mirren has been invited to meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Dame Helen, who portrayed her majesty in her movie 'The Queen' said. 'I enjoyed playing the role very much, and the Palace have invited me there to discuss standing in for the Queen, and representing her on some of her official duties'.
Always on duty, The Queen - now 80, could do with taking it easy, but she is unable to trust son Charles with anything a source said. With Dame Helen available to perform some of the royal engagements for her, it will be a chance for her majesty to relax and enjoy her final years.
Chancellor Gordon Brown has confirmed that the usual financial arrangements would be made and indicated that the taxpayer would bear the full cost. He said 'this is simply a practical step to ensure that Britain is always represented in a way that is appropriate to her position on the world stage'
