West Ham Side Dejected After Latest Flop

London Stadium - Long-suffering supporters of West Ham United who demanded that rehired manager David Moyes be immediately sacked again after Saturday's loss to local amateur football club Hackney Wednesday, got their wish when the two-time manager was jettisoned following the fiasco at London Stadium.

Moyes, who had scheduled the match as a "confidence builder" after a disappointing run of fixtures which found the club in the Premier League relegation zone, including a 4-0 drubbing by League 1 side Oxford United, issued a statement thanking the fans and owners of the East London club for his 3-month-long job.

The game was level at 1-1 in the last minute, when Hackney, down to nine men after two red cards, scored the winner in added time, when West Ham backup goalie, Roberto, threw the ball into his own net after a stop. West Ham supporters were still seen Sunday morning propped up at local pubs after a night of heavy imbibing.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
