Ian 'Beefy' Botham has hit out today at cricketers who end up mincing around the dance floor instead of playing cricket.
The extraordinary outburst comes as Mark Ramprakash becomes the second player to win BBC's top-rated Saturday show Strictly Come Dancing.
A clearly angry Botham told The Spoof:
"What's going on here? Goughy won it last year and now Rampy's won this year. These guys are setting the image of cricketers as men's men back hundreds of years.
When me and Lamby were playing we weren't to be seen done up like a couple of pox-doctors' clerks prancing about. No way! We were out in nightclubs to 5.00am putting it about big style and coming home pissed after 'decking' a few photographers!"
Botham then stormed out of our offices, chinning a Spoof cub-reporter as he sped off in his luxury car. We believe that he then went to Stringfellows in London's trendy West End to see some leggy blonds and a mystery woman or two, before coming home at 5.30am the worse for drink.
After his triumph on Strictly Come Dancing, Mark Ramprakash is finding himself very much in demand. It's already rumoured that a phial of his sweat collected during his winning dance routine is currently under offer on ebay at the staggering price of £2,500,000.
A stunned Mark told us:
"Oooohh! Fancy!"
