Looks like Gaffney's already had one of his three wishes

Hull city council was delighted to announce last night that American movie legends, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro would be teaming up for the first time since 'Heat', in the annual Christmas panto.

Hull's version of 'Aladdin' looks set to break all box office records after the two oscar winners agreed to participate.

"We have been in talks with Mr DeNiro and Mr Pacinos' agents all year," said Bert Sidebottom, head of the Hull Players, "and we are ecstatic they have finally come on board. Mr DeNiro will play Widow Twanky, while Mr Pacino will have the part of Wishy-Washy."

Fellow thespian and former Eastenders star, Dean Gaffney said he was very excited about acting with the movie stars.
"I'm really chuffed that they are going to star in the panto with me," he told reporters from his homeless shelter, "I've always been a big fan of DeNiro and based my character of Robbie in Eastenders on him .... I was a big star when I was in Eastenders." he added sadly, before asking our reporter if he could spare some change for a cup of tea.

In Hollywood last night Mr Pacino said in a statement, "Bob and I are happy to be involved in this prestigious and experimental project. Mr Sidebottom has assured us that this event will be watched by over a billion people worldwide and that the Queen and the Pope will both be attending the premier."

Bill Phlem, owner of 'Hull Wedding Videos' said that he was very happy to be involved in the filming of the event although he pointed out, "I don't know about a billion people. We normally just show it at the old folks home and to the kids in the orphanage, to make up for them not getting any presents or Christmas dinner."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
