Not Miranda Hart.

The German Comedians Union are to bring a case before the European Union claiming defamation by generations of British comedians. In the case they state that for years the British said that their comedy was far superior to German comedy and that Germans did not have a sense of humor. The Germans say that they now have proof that British Comedy is the most pathetic in Europe.

"It has been a slight on us for a long time." Herman Müller the union president said "They have said that German humor is all about bad slapstick, farting jokes and jokes about ugly women. They say this is old fashioned. But recently on a trip to London I saw an episode of 'Miranda' a terrible program about a large ugly woman who farts a lot and falls over. It was worse than anything I have ever seen in my life. If that is the best that the British can come up with then they have no right to call our humor bad."

British Prime Minister and close friend of 'Miranda' star Miranda Hart said "Look I discussed this with Miranda over tea and buns they other day. I think it is pathetic her show is good wholesome fun. No swearing and nothing nasty about me or my chums. In fact the program promotes good conservative values."

Other British comedians have cried foul. Stephen Fry told 'The Times' "It is a bit silly as 'Miranda' is loose stall water of the worst kind and not representative of the true humor of British comedy."

The case will be heard at the EU court on Thursday.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
