Super market giant Tesco today admitted that one of their prime value beef burgers had been found inside a horse. The horse named Billy after William Shakespeare, was today undergoing intensive surgery to remove the burger which had lodged in its stomach along with two bales of hay.
Billy,s owner, local scrap collector Tim Twatt, who has a contract with the supermarket giant to return stolen trolleys on his horse and cart said that Billy munched the burger off the floor in the loading bay. The burger, one of a pack of four had apparently jumped out of the fridge and leapt over five aisles and two till girls before getting trapped in the loading bay where Billy ate it.
A spokesman for Tesco, Mr Val U Formaney said there was no need for alarm as they had a spare burger to make the pack back up to four.
