Police investigating mounting sex abuse claims against the former radio DJ and tv presenter Jimmy Savile believe they are ready to make an arrest in the next 24 hours.
Since a documentary on ITV at the beginning of October, hundreds of allegations have been made against the eccentric BBC star from Leeds.
Police arrested Gary Glitter on sunday, also implicated in the documentary, and now are ready to bring Savile himself in for questioning. They believe they have tracked him down to a graveyard in Scarborough - where the last recorded sighting of him was November last year was at his funeral when he was lowered into the ground.
An source close to the case told our reporter "The family requested the headstone was removed from the grave - maybe to put police off the trail - but we have strong information that he is still in hiding in the coffin."
More as we get it.
