After reading several pieces on 'The Spoof' where Sparks and Mensa is used to denote middle England's favorite store Ron and Russell Mael better known as the band Sparks and to team up with High IQ club Mensa to promote learning.

"Both Ron and I are members of Mensa." Russell said at a press conference "Its kind of funny that someone put Sparks and Mensa together for the place middle age women buy underwear but we're going to run with it."

"I think people should be inspired to learn." Ron added.

Carol Vorderman the honorary president of Mensa added. "The organization has taken a bit of a knock in recent weeks. Some news organizations have pointed out that Jimmy Savile was a member. They seem to want to make something sinister out of that. So a bit of good publicity will be just want we need."

Mensa is actually the Latin word for table. The organization was originally to use the latin word for Mind, Mens, but thought that sounded like a club for cottagers and added the a.

No comment from either the store or 'The Spoof' has been forthcoming as yet. However a small company primed to appear on 'Dragon's Den' with an electro spark massage table are said to be watching developments with interest.
