London UK: The Times of London has purchased the publishing rights to stories of the on-line humor magazine The Spoof.
Times of London executives indicated that the Sunday on-line edition of the newspaper would include five of the best spoof stories of the previous week, based on the highest number of points garnered by a story. These spoof stories will be included in the magazine section next to the Sunday comics and puzzles.
Part of the publishing agreement between the Times of London and The Spoof is the elimination of words such as tits, vagina, penis and ass from stories. More suitable words such as boobs, grommet, monkey wrench and rear are to be employed.
An editing/approval center manned by a The Spoof editor is being established at the Times of London to insure quality control. During the course of moving a desk two boobs hit a water main, rupturing a grommet, which was repaired with a monkey wrench keeping most of the rear end of the office dry!
