London, England. In scenes rarely captured in the city, twenty seven quantity surveyors donned Dark Ages costumes and ran wildly down the high street screaming "It's your London!". Passersby were mildly amused by the unusual antics and even one witness was so affected that he filmed the whole event on his Apple iPhone.
The individuals responsible for today's happenings have so far refused to explain why they did what they did. Police were absent from the scene and, thus far, have not been involved. The BBC were busy filming a nearby burglary.
But what was the real reason for such an event? Professor Emeritus Nigel Twitborn, from Oxford University, reasoned out loud for this column. "It's probably a societal reaction to enveloping incursions of technical and biological extremes" he explained. Have they gone mad? "Yes, probably". Can we as a society ever recover from this? "I'm afraid not, no" was the Professor's reply.
If light is shone on this strange event in the future, we may, as a society grow even more.
