British number 1 tennis player, Andy Murray, the gaunt, unshaven Scot, has vowed to give it his best shot, and to try his very bestest as he tries to become the first home-based player to win the Wimbledon title in more than 500 years this week.
Murray edged nervously past Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic in four sets to set up a last-16 encounter with Richard Gasquet, and immediately told fans that he would give it everything he had got to achieve his ultimate goal in life - the All England Men's Singles championship.
Murray is unlikely to do so, however, because he isn't good enough. Nor is he consistent enough. Plus, he looks like a vagrant.
That's what I think, anyway.
Then again, I'm no tennis expert.
