Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revisited his old stamping ground of hairdryers after watching his side lose out in their FA Cup semi-final against arch-rivals Manchester City at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.
Fergie watched from behind his hands as first Michael Carrick gifted the ball to Yaya Toure outside the United area, from which the huge-cocked Ivorian ghosted past Vidic to score the only goal, and then had to wince in horror as the ever-reckless Paul Scholes decided to leave an imprint of his studs on City's Pablo Zabaleta, and was dispatched from the field by red card-brandishing referee Mike Dean.
After the match, Ferguson sprinted to the United dressing room and is reported to have removed a hairdryer from his bag, and was last seen holding it with his teeth clenched and face contorted as Scholes made his way to the showers.
