Tim Cahill, Everton's lucky number 17, has just been declared a Saint of Australia following his cracking first goal which put the Blues ahead of their Red counterparts.
Having received a sublime pass from young Coleman, Cahill blasted the ball into the back of the net: leaving Reina with no chance.
The Pope was so impressed that he declared that "Timothy Cahill should be a Saint. I know he got sent off in the World Cup, but he is an inspiring man. The way he beats up that corner flag, it's like he's beating the Egyptians who held our ancestors hostage. The way he heads the ball is a sign from God. He truly deserves this title of Saint of Australia."
Cahill had these words of response.
"I'm honoured to have this acclaim, and will add it to my "Everton Player of the Season" trophy at the house.
