The team that everyone has decided was NFL's worst team --ever-- was beaten by the Kevin Kolb-led Philadelphia Eagles.
By a whopping three f--king points.
"The sideline argument between (49ers coach) Mike Singletary and (world's second-sh-ttiest quarterback)Alex Smith was the most entertaining part of the game," said Sunday Night Football On NBC commentators Al Micheals and Not John Madden.
Of the sideline argument, Smith said: "It was a discussion. We weren't seeing eye-to-eye the whole time. But it's kind of between us."
"F--k it, I'll tell you what we talked about," said Singletary, "Yeah we weren't seeing eye-to-eye. I wanted him to complete passes to OUR players, and stop throwing the ball directly into a defender's chest."
Just as soon as the pep talk was over, Smith threw an interception at the worst possible time. On third-and-10 from the Eagles' 44, and needing to get in field goal range, Smith threw a wobbly pass under heavy pressure from Trevor Laws.
The 49ers fell to 0-5 for the first time since Joe Montana's rookie year of 1979. This season, they join the Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills as the league's sh-ttiest teams.
"F--k," said Kevin Kolb, the Eagles' now-starting QB, an athlete as sh-tty as is the 49ers. "I suck enough to be here."
