A meeting of National Football League owners in Atlanta brought up something that they were all in agreement to do: Go to an 18 game football season.
Although it cannot be done until a major contract negotiations with the players union next year, the owners say it's a win/win situation.
Bob Kraft owner of the New England Patriots stated that they could cut two games off pre-season, allow more players on each roster and still end the year with February Super Bowl.
Others agreed and pointed that more fans would get to see teams that they normally have to wait years to see.
However, no one has brought this up with the Player's Union yet so we will have to wait and see.
When asked his opinion about an 18 game season, Brett Favre stated that he had no thoughts about it that he would be retired by then.
Sure he will.
One owner, whom the other owners told us not to identify stated that he could see Double-Hitters in the future with a different quarterback in game two..then passed out.
But the general opinion among everyone involved is that it all depends on M-O-N-E-Y!!
