It is rumoured that the whole England 'squad' is boarding a plane headed for Toronto, before their next, all important game. They need to relax and are, therefore, headed for some well earned R & R at the home of 'Lady Godiva', who has invited them all to her home in Ontario Canada.
They will not be actually, 'lazing around pool-side', which was their main hope.
The England team will continue training using very different pre-game sessions to the ones they are accustomed to.
Lady G. has plans for Rooney and Terry. They are to rotor-till her backyard and prepare it for re-sodding. Lady G. has many other acitivities ready for the rest of the team. For example, her roof needs re-tiling. Materials are ready and waiting. Her living room is ready for re-painting, walls stripped, paint and brushes at the ready, whilst all the bedrooms need old carpets ripping out.
Lady G. feels that these distractions, as well as providing great work-outs for the team members, will serves to relax them somewhat, and refresh individuals.
Team members WILL have time to relax by walking down to the shores of Lake Erie and counting the dead fish washing up on shore as a result of pollution.
Also, they will have the opportunity to visit the two local bars and improve their 'on field reflexes' by dodging flying beer bottles thrown around, on a regular basis, by the locals.
Lady G. believes that after spending a few days with her, the England team players will be only too glad to do their utmost to win the 2010 World Cup. Well....if not THIS time around, she promises to be available for 'training' the team for the NEXT World Cup attempt.
