UK athletes destined to American Baseball.

Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, and the National Football League are sponsoring a traveling seminar, titled 'Play Ball Get Rich'. They are looking for athletes who are always in short supply and to reduce high contract values.

The American sports league franchise owners are looking for a few good men that can be pilfered from other sports and countries. Seems that UK athletes involved in different sports can make the cross over to baseball, basketball, or football.

Traveling speakers with the seminar include: Michael Jordan (Pele level basketball star and team owner), George Steinbrenner (NY Yankees owner), and Billy Bob Thornton (actor and football fan).

The impetus for the NBA and MLB to come to the UK is to search for athletic prowess at an early age and direct that energy to an American professional sport. The appeal is directed to the parents, who are a major portion of the audience, and their support of their young athletes. Monetary reward is the enticement as in attending a premier sporting college with full ride scholarship, or possibly start in minor leagues with a healthy salary.

Cricket player can experience success: batters in baseball and bowlers in basketball. Rugby players do well in American football and can take it easy with all that amour and frequent stops. Bridge players, and scrabble mavens make good coaching strategists in all sports. And not the last is the footballer who fits well in baseball and football.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
