Gerrard - The Fire In His Heart Is Out

A man purporting to be a star player for Man United racked up the tension a couple of notches ahead of Liverpool's PL visit to Old Trafford this afternoon by claiming that Steven Gerrard lacked ambition and that the fire in his heart was well and truly extinguished.

"Gerrard's had it. He's shot," the Man United star who our reporter didn't recognise told us. He said that if Gerrard still harboured ambitions within the game then he wouldn't be playing for a tin-pot outfit like Liverpool and certainly not under the managership of a moronic Spanish clown like Rafa Benitez.

Most observers believe that Gerrard will never win a Premiership Winner's medal at Liverpool, as time after time Benitez has promised the fans the earth and inevitably failed to deliver. Liverpool's seasonal threats to mount a serious title challenge are now regarded as a joke.

With Liverpool's owners unprepared to commit totally to the club, it seems that second best, or worse, will just have to do. For the long suffering fans, it's a case of like it or lump it. But many of those loyal fans still believe that there's time for Gerrard to turn things around, and win the title by sheer willpower alone, such is their unshakable belief in the man and the club.

But with Chelsea knocking on the door for Fernando Torres in the summer, it looks like being an uphill battle.

"What Steven Gerrard needs to do," the Man United star who we didn't recognise told us. "Is get himself a pair of yellow banana skin boots like Nani's. Then he needs to learn to do flashy stepovers like Nani, pose for a second with his hands on his hips like some all conquering Greek God, then give the ball away to the opposition or lump the fucker into the stands. Like Nani usually does. That ought to do it."

More as we get it.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
