British tennis ace Andy Murray has hit the ground running in the Australian open this week.
As always the British sports hero has won his first match, beating Kevin Anderson in straight sets.
The win has sent the British press into a frenzy of 'Murray for Prime Minister' ramblings. As always, one win gives the impression that he will progress through the competition.
The number 4 ranked British ball whacker beat Anderson, who is ranked an astounding 148th in the world. The win came as a shock to many.
Iris Dorkins, British tennis fan, said "I was shocked." And British fan of tennis, Bobby McFerrin added "I was too. I knew he could do it though, never doubted him, it's the British way."
Brit Murray's next match is against another tennis player who isn't British.
Where the press are concerned, Murray will become Scottish when he is knocked out of the competition, about halfway through.
More as we....oh you know!
