They called it David against Goliath Part II as plucky Brit fighter David Haye, (6'3") went into a ruckus with Russian giant Nikolay Valuev (7'2") to contest the WBA Heavyweight Championship of The World at the Arena Nurnburger Versicherung.
Nobody gave David Haye a cat in hell's chance, giving away as he was, 11 inches in height and 98lbs in weight.
But, confounding his critics, Haye, who had persistently badmouthed his rather large opponent, actually won the fight on points, becoming the first David to open a can of whup-ass on a Goliath since Biblical times.
And he didn't need a slingshot to do it.
Full details have yet to emerge, but we have it hot off the presses that Haye had his gigantic opponent rocking, before taking a points decision.
British fight fans salute David Haye, for beating Goliath Valuev, for taking the WBA Heavyweight title, and for not being a cop out who does things the easy way.
More as details come in.
