Irish boxing received a huge boost yesterday as Muhammad O'Ali returned to his home town of Ennis in County Clare.
His famous words "I am the greatest, to be sure" were heard throughout the world in his heyday. Irish boxing fans hope that he can mount one final challenge for the heavyweight title.
Declan Murphy, Ennis boxing promoter said "The big fella is a huge draw. He's still got the moves. He showed them to me earlier."
O'Ali may have been known as the 'Louisville Lip' previously, however he now wishes to be called the 'Shambling Shamrock'. "I'm a mean, keen, green fighting machine."
The boxer was taken on a tour of Ennis before a celebratory reception was held in Doyle's Bar and Undertakers.
