The two Norwich City fans who ran onto the pitch on Ssaturday and threw their season tickets at club manager Bryan Gunn, have been handed severe punishments by the carrow Road hierarchy - their passes were returned, and they will be forced to watch every one of the Canaries' remaining fixtures this season!
Norwich were hammered 7-1 in front of their own fans in their opening fixture, during which Mark Warman, 43, and his grandson Daniel Warman, 18, ran onto the pitch and appeared to throw their season tickets at Gunn.
Gunn caught the tickets and said:
"I don't want them - we're shite!"
Police initially charged the two pitch encroachers with "pitch encroachment" but the force later confirmed they had each accepted a caution, as long as they both agreed to be bound by a condition that states they MUST attend every other game at Carrow Road this season, no matter how depressing things get.
Sergeant Tom Hick told us:
"We couldn't let them off with a caution. An example had to be made, so that other fans wouldn't try throwing their season tickets away."
Old Warman said:
"I was hoping to get rid of my ticket as the team, manager, board, owners, stewards, cleaners and burger van staff are shite. I'm gutted. Now it looks as if the only way to get out of watching this dross is to kill myself!"
