Infamous Referee Tom Ovrebo who bungled his officiating of the Chelsea vs Barcelona match in the UEFA Champions League Semi Final match has decided to make amends.
He intends to award penalties in the match he would officiate in the Norwegian League come Saturday. This way he hopes to convince the rest of the world and Chelsea that he he is not suffering from penalty-phobia.
Though he had no use for the three supporting referees who were assigned to him at Stamford Bridge and never conferred with them or sought their opinion on any matter, he would still be given three equally "blind" men in black.
The men would be needed not as assistant referees but to protect him in case of "Ballackisia" and "Didierupture" from irate players. Norwegian police have been put on standby, and a chartered plane would also be on standby to spring him to safety in case of a Chelsea-type furore.
The referee claimed in a recent interview that his family is good and fine - though that cannot be said about the mood at Chelsea. As a psychologist, he believes that Drogba, Ballack and company would outgrow the pain - when they grow up.
UEFA already has plans to have Ovrebo officiate an upcoming blind men football competition. He is excited by the idea and would want all spectators to also be blind.
