The left shoe that was thrown at China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao

CAMBRIDGE, England - Well there has been another shoe tossing incident again. A protester threw his shoe at China's Prime Minister Wen Jiabao during a speech at Cambridge University in England.

This latest shoe tossing incident has brought on the immediate implementing of a world-wide decree that states that from now on all audience members will be required to check their shoes at the door. And this monumental mandate even includes flip-flops.

Meanwhile The International Olympic Committee has named London to be the host city for the 2012 Summer Olympics. One of the committee directors has made a motion that badminton be replaced by shoe tossing.

The motion must now go before the IOC's steering committee where a vote will be taken. Supporters of the new olympic event are very confident that 'Shoe Tossing' will become the newest Summer Olympic event.

The United Kingdom Amalgamated Construction Corporation, which is building the olympic facilities has already been told to construct a shoe tossing press room where the event will take place.

An insider has stated that the room will be known as The Muntazer al Zaidi Shoe Tossing Room, named after the Iraqi journalist who threw his two size 10 shoes at President George Bush during an Iraqi press conference in Baghad on December 14, 2008.

In related news. The Converse Shoe Company has just announced that effective immediately all of its shoes will carry the following disclaimer:

These shoes are meant to be worn on your feet at all times. They are not to be tossed, thrown, launched, hurled, pitched, flung, heaved, or propelled towards anyone (i.e. politicians such as presidents, prime ministers, governors, senators, etc.). any violation of this disclaimer will immediately void the warranty.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
