Top Australian spin bowler Shane Warne is to make a come back for one test series. After the shocking defeat by South Africa in Perth it was clear that the current crop of Aussie spin bowlers were not up to required standards.

The number one team in the world for over a decade looks likely to lose its status after recent results at home and away. One of the factors has been a lack of a quality spinner so Warne has decided to return, initially for the one series versus old rivals England.

"I've been keeping really fit," said Warne (39),"but watching the guys lose has been very difficult and it has made me realise I retired too soon. I'm refreshed and ready to come back and there can be no bigger incentive than to play in the Ashes again."

Current captain Ricky Ponting declared, "Shane is a fantastic bowler and a great character so it will be a huge boost to have him back in the side."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
