News in today indicates that President George W Bush is strongly considering trying out for pitcher with the Boston Red Sox for next summers World Series.
Sources reveal that the President will not meakly walk away into retirement after January 19 next year but wants to further raise his profile in the BIGGER league.
George W's brother recently said that the President is baseball mad and would leap at any opportunity given for him to trial with a top shelf team in the national competition. Hearing this, the Boston Red Sox coach immediately contacted the White House and placed a request for the Chief Executive to have a practise with the Soxers.
The trial went ahead last Saturday and many officials were surprised at how well George W Bush could pitch. The word on the street is lookout New York Yankees!!
