Due to Kevin Keegan leaving and Mike Ashley trying to sell the club a bid has put on the table.

The small village of Nempnett Thrubwell in Somerset has raised interest in purchasing the club.

Somerset currently does not have a Premiership Football club of its own and is wanting to get on the map. If the club was successfully purchased the stadium and players would be relocated to Somerset.

Barney Yokleston the Mayor of Nempnett Thrubwell commented "we would love to purchase the club and feel that Somerset has something to offer for everyone".

Not everybody is delighted with the plans due to the relocation idea. Many long standing supporters of Newcastle United are concerned the club will loose its identity. A long standing supporter Geordie Geordienstein commented "it ain't right".

A final decision will be made later this month.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
