A scandal has rocked the organising committee of the Beijing Special Olympics.
It has been revealed that they have been recruiting able bodied athletes and deliberately crippling them in the hopes of boosting their medal tally.
Officials were quoted as saying "Just because we have a population 1.3 billion it doesn't mean we have many retards".
The decision made at the highest levels of Chinese government is set to rock the establishment more than a mosh pit in an earthquake.
These "special" Athletes when interviewed expressed the view that if they weren't good enough to get into the able bodied olympics then they serve party by taking one for the team.
Concerns have been expressed by advocates for the disabled that the Chinese governments record on looking after it citizens. When contacted however these advocates were unavailable for comment.
Commentator wonder whether anyone has told these athlete that the surgery is irreversible. They are athletes after all.
