Is Roger on Edge?

Though Roger Federer has lost a very human 6 matches this year so far and so he is also taking on another human trait, "trash talking".

Of course the mild mannered Swede tends to be almost complimentary when he does his trash talking.

For instance before a recent match against American Andy Roddick he said of Andy, "I always enjoy playing Andy."

Now this alone wouldn't seem to be such a bad remark, but it was the way he said it and that somewhat develish grin that escapes him occasionally.

When asked what he thought of his chances this year at the French Open against Rafael Nadal, Federer had this to say, "I like my chances, but Rafael always pushes me."

Again the Grand Slam Champion appears to be his usual graceful self, but this year there is a coyness about him, almost, dare we say it "edginess".

When asked if he himself felt as if his mild downturn has impacted his personality and interactions with the media and players, Roger had this to say, "I don't know what in the swiss cheese you are talking about."

Well time will tell if his story is full of holes.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
