Nad Al Sheba - (Thoroughbred Mess): Red-hot Dubai World Cup 4/9 favorite Curlin will make mincemeat of glue factory-reject opposition in Saturday's $6 million racing contest according to Aintgottaprayer.con internet tipsters.
"Even at 1/3 or 1/4 fav the price is an absolute steal," bookies' spokesman Dave Shergar said today.
Curlin, the Sam Strike-sired four year-old winner of the US 2007 Preakness and Breeders Cup Classic takes on a dozen talkinghorse hopefuls on the Nad Al Sheba dirt.
These include top Dubai gangster Shaikh Mohammed McTomb Raider's £9 million Jalil - the 7/1 2nd fav - ridden by British-based jockey Frankie Dettori.
"Jalil eventually won a £5,000 minor event at a total non-entity Brit track (Ripon) in 2007," Shergar continued.
"Since then a bit of local jiggery-pokery has ensured McTomb Raider's nag won three on the trot at Nad Sheba this year.
"The alternative would have been a public stoning for the track's entire management.
"So don't be taken in by that 7/1 price.
"Factoring in the wind-chill conditions as we call it in the industry he's more like 700/1."
Many racing industry insiders believe Jalil is a direct descendant of McTomb Raider's other thoroughbred disaster, the £13.5 million purchase Snafee Dancer - who broke all records by turning out to be the most expensive horse ever to prove to be lame, infertile, half blind, deaf, dumb and stupid.
Of Saturday's other field hopefuls the 16/1 shot Vermillion and 20/1 hopeful Happy Boy are rated as good each-way potential.
