CBS announced today that Katie Couric will be leaving the CBS Evening News at some point within the next thirty days and that she will be replaced by former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.

With Couric at the helm, the CBS Evening News has continued on a relentless downward slide in the ratings department, despite tremendous optimism at the outset of her tenure.

In spite of the fact that Tyson is hardly articulate enough to carry on a casual conversation with someone about the weather and that he has absolutely no previous experience in broadcast journalism, CBS is confident that "Iron" Mike is the right person for the job.

The contract Tyson signed is reportedly $100,000,000 for seven years and has a provision for Tyson's immediate dismissal should he bite off anyone's ear.
