Insect world flies in to honor Cricket Conscience

In the bizarre case of a possible act of foul play involving a leading coach in the otherwise civil world of cricket, Scotland Yard has decided to bring in Jiminy C their top investigator in insect related crimes.

SY's crack cricket Clusoe displayed his usual unorthodox method of questioning. Jiminy hopped from shoulder to shoulder of the leading suspects during their lineup. Dressed in his dapper, if not a little outdated, Victorian garb and armed with his signature umbrella the little fella sang into the ears of cricket's most competitive players, coaches, owners and exterminators.

Entymologist Dizzy Disney found the JC's behavior to be quite typical of the common house cricket: "These bugs are bugs aboutmoral decision making. Remember the Chinese kept them in boxes and listened to their chirping as a good omen until they smothered and died which could not have been so lucky for the cricket"

The case was cracked before anyone expected a s a Cricket-world Earwhig grabbed the singing conscience by his oversized lapels and screamed: "Alright ya'lil bug, I did it! I did it!", while falling to the ground weeping profusely.

Unfortunately slam dunking an insect even a lucky one fro about six feet onto the hard ground is bad for the little guy.

Scotland Yard sources said that details of the arrest and funeral arrangements for the Cricket Conscience of Cricket will be announced soon.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
