Tranmere Rovers, who were playing non-League football as recently as , overcame Premier League Watford in their FA Cup fourth-round replay last night, and now have the chance to bring the curtain down on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's chequered managerial career at Manchester United.
Rovers beat Watford 2-1 in extra-time, setting up Sunday's game, which, in their current form, will, no doubt, strike terror into the hearts of the United players and their beleaguered boss.
Solskjaer can count himself lucky to have lasted this long, and, on what will again be a heavily-sanded pitch, he will know that the contest will resemble something played on Southport beach, rather than on the luxurious Old Trafford turf that his team are so used to.
And on which, incidentally, they were blown away by Burnley the other night.
