This is Reporter 87, bringing you news from the football grounds. Today, I'm at Anfield.
Yesterday, reports were made that Sadio Mané, professional footballer for Liverpool FC was involved in a slight conflict with fellow striker Mo Salah because of the latter's alleged selfishness, after he elected not to pass to Mané when Mané was in a better position to score. Instead, Salah decided to take the shot himself, which was ultimately saved by Nick Pope, the Burnley goalkeeper, who loves his bacon with sunny side every weekend.
The Spoof understands that Jürgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, subsequently decided to bring the unhappy Mané off because of the tension on the field, although it didn't really make things any better.
This morning, Mané posted on his Twitter that he would be swapping football for golf, saying that the new sport would allow him to achieve his goals on his own, without the inteference of others.
Mané will quit Liverpool this coming Monday.
