It looks like it could be the end of the road for the beleaguered manager of Bumpchester Rovers, Billy Crump, as his side suffer another defeat at the hands of St Joan's Kindergarten first eleven.
Fans at the 'Bumhole' booed the side off the pitch and Crump had to be given a police escort to keep the angry crowd away from him. He told The Spoof:
"I think we're getting there and we just need a bit more time to bed into our new surroundings. We've moved up a step this season and these things take time. But thankfully the Chairman and board are all behind me and we ask that fans trust us"
Chairman, Mikhail Gorbachev, told our reporter:
"Beely is sheet and he is resignating in the morning you marking my words!"
Crump has been in the wars since he took the poisoned chalice back in August but now football insiders feel there is no way back for the one time England World Cup Hero.
That guy off the TV adverts for crisps and who hosts BBC's Match of the Day, Gerry Linebacker, commented:
"The writing's on the wall and it looks like the end of the road for Billy. He must be sick as a parrot to be leaving the job early doors despite the lads having not done tremendous and having been suspect in the final third"
Bobby Charlton told us:
"It's a sad day for Billy and Bumchester but I know both he and they will bounce back"
