DALLAS - The owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones recently spoke with Rufus Reno of Sports Balls Illustrated Daily at the famed Texas Cattle Stampede House in Arlington.
Jones, whose Cowboys are 1-1 told Reno that he has always liked Tim and he really feels that he has what it takes to play in the NFL on a consistent basis.
Jerry pointed out that Tim is one gung ho athlete who will give it 110 percent no matter where he is put, whether that be at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, punter, or even the Gatorade maker.
He smiled and added that he recently had a talk with Mrs. Jones and she suggested that he sign Tebow to be Tony Romo's backup quarterback.
Jerry has thought about it saying that in his opinion there is no one in the entire NFL who is more religious than Tebow.
The 70-year-old Jones smiled and said that since the Cowboys have not been in the NFL playoffs since 2009, maybe it wouldn't hurt to have Tim Tebow and his positive sis-boom-bah attitude instilling the Cowboys with team spirit.
SIDENOTE: Jones added that if anyone has a direct line to the man upstairs it's Timmy.
