Phil Jackson is engaged to the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jeanie Buss.

LOS ANGELES - Kobe Bryant has stated that he believes that this will be the year of the Lakers. Of course the NBA's most notorious ball hog has made that statement before the start of the season for several years now.

Kobe spoke with Zorro La Bamba of The Sports Bet Gazette at a Tacos, Tacos, and Mucho More Tacos Restaurant in Beverly Hills.

He told La Bamba that he feels that this will be his most productive year to date. He said that the one thing that can really help to get the Lakers into the NBA playoffs would be the addition of former Lakers Coach Phil Jackson.

Kobe stated that it should not be such a difficult thing to accomplish simply because Phil is engaged to the Lakers owner Jeanie Buss.

Bryant smiled and said that one would think that all Phil has to do is roll over in bed and say, "Hon, I want to be the coach of the Lakers" and like magic he can be the coach of the Lakers.

LaBamba asked Kobe if he would be willing to beg Phil to take the head coaching job. Bryant put down his Chimichanga and said, "Zorro, just last night, I talked with Phil on the phone and yes, I begged him to come on back home to LakersLand."

SIDENOTE: Kobe said that he has talked to LeBron James about the possibility of him and Dwyane Wade both soon wearing the purple and gold of the Left Coast Lakers.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
