DETROIT - The talk started off as a 'maybe' but it has since intensified to a 'probably' as the Detroit Pistons have expressed an interest in acquiring Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo.
The Pistons are of course well aware that Rondo is still recuperating from a torn ACL, along with a bout of tonsillitis but they have hopes that he can make a full recovery.
Rondo was not available for comment as a Celtics spokesperson said that his throat was still hurting and he could not yet form words.
Meanwhile the Celtics ownership would love to unload Rondo to complete their clubhouse sweep after sending Coach Rivers, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce packing.
The Pistons organization is well aware of the fact that Rondo has at least three Boston Celtics tattoos but they are prepared to pay to have all three lasered off.
