David Beckham stunned the world of sport today by dropping old friend Stuart Pearce from his new Olympic Pizza advert, due to be filmed next week in Stratford and broadcast during the Games.
East end born Beckham was chosen to pick the team due to his huge experience of adverts, which include appearances in pants on ginormous billboards all over the world. His other adverts include razor blades, sunglasses, perfumes, fast food, supermarkets and fragrances.
Speculation was mounting that Becks dropped 'Micky' Pearce as revenge for Pearce dropping Becks from the Olympic Team GB football squad.
Pearce is no stranger to pizza adverts having appeared in one back in 1996, alongside Chrissy effa' effa' effa' Waddle when they ribbed fellow England penalty misser Gareth Southgate.
Waddle and Southgate have both been selected for the new advert by Beckham, alongside Ashley Cole and Ashley Young.
The Olympics start in East London on July 27th
