Kobe Bryant of the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers has never been one to bite his tongue. After his team's recent up and down performances, a disgusted Bryant called for a players-only meeting.
In that meeting, Bryant declared, "Look, either you win, or you don't win."
Teammate Derek Fisher said afterward, "Wow, I never thought of it that way. Kobe's right."
Added Pau Gasol during an interview with AM 799, "I am not sure if I entirely grasp the concept, but I appreciate that Kobe spoke with us."
Andrew Bynum chimed in, "Kobe's very eloquent. Or is it elegant? Well, whatever he is, he's right. I never knew it could be so simple."
The next day, the team plastered on its training facility walls banners proclaiming, "Just win (or don't)."NBA.com and the Laker online store have since been inundated with requests for the banners, and are working on getting 100,000 copies made for sale by week's end.
