Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is to say sorry to his Liverpool counterpart Kenny Dalglish after scolding him badly last weekend over his apparent protection of Anfield striker Luis Suarez.
Ferguson said after the game at Old Trafford, that Dalglish should be ashamed, that the Uruguyan should be axed, and that he had disgraced the famous old name of Liverpool when he refused to shake the hand of United's Patrice Evra, a man Suarez had earlier racially abused by calling him a ******.
Now, however, Sir Alex has said that he may have spoken out of turn, and without thinking when he tore into his fellow Scot.
Today, he issued a statement saying that he was sorry, although he wouldn't be shaking the hand of that "tatty little midget" anytime soon.
