LOS ANGELES - On Wednesday afternoon ESPN executives sat down with Hank Williams Jr. in what appeared to be a second chance. Witnesses confirmed that Hank was seen going into the building with a shaved face, hair combed, and a subway sandwich in his left hand.

As soon as Mr. Williams entered the conference room, ESPN Chief Executive George Bodenheimer began the proceedings by first asking why was he there? Hank Williams Jr. was still chewing his first bite out of his turkey and provolone subway sandwich when he said, "I am here to demand an apology from my boss."

George threw up his hands and exclaimed, "What nerve you have?!"

As soon as Hank Williams Jr. swallowed his first bite he repeated, "I am in here to be pardoned by your organization."

When Mr. Bodenheimer understood he stayed quiet and listened to his former employee for a moment. But not without Hank Jr. taking another bite out of his Turkey sandwich.

"This whole thing was a misunderstanding. I am being wrongly accused and I know people of your stature know how unfair it is to be perceived as flip flopping when you simply misspoke," Hank said earnestly.

He added that he was thinking about a song in his head when he confused the topics of golf and Obama on Fox and Friends, the political show on Fox News Network.

Executives decided to think about it over the weekend and make a decision on Monday night.

In related news, Hank Williams Jr. promised that he would rewrite the song he wronged, when he's rehired. Unfortunately, for him, Barry Sanders can sing country music too.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
